I had the pleasure to photograph this gorgeous family for the second year in a row! How exciting is that? I LOVE repeat customers! I love to see how the family has grown. And a year goes by so fast! Shawna is also starting out her own photography business called Keener pics. She did a great job coordinating the outfits for her family. I might be just a little bit partial because PURPLE is my favorite color:) If you are interested in having your family photographed I have very limited dates and times available, so call or email me asap to reserve your spot! My photographer friend Heather Thorne posted the other day that she was enjoying her mother’s homemade pumpkin cookies and I had to ask her for the recipe! She gave it to me and many others and I made them today! It sure makes a lot….good thing Brint is bringing some into work tomorrow:) Thanks Heather for sharing this wonderful yummy delicious recipe!
Here is the recipe for Pumpkin Cookies
2C sugar
2C shortening
1 (16oz) can pumpkin
2 eggs
4C sifted flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. soda
1 t. salt
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. allspice
1 C chopped nuts (if you like)
2 t. vanilla
Cream sugar & shortening; add pumpkin, eggs and vanilla, mix well. sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Frost if desired. Makes 7 dozen but you can 1/2 the recipe – 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Where to begin? I met this lovely couple when Becca was pregnant for these two cutie pies! She was a patient where I work and stayed there long term on bedrest and monitoring. I am so glad that we had the chance to meet again for me to photograph her family. Her mother is in town and joined in on some of the family fun! I got the chance to photograph this lovely family the other day! Tonia entered her girls Sophia and Alyssa in my Cutest Kids Contest, so that is how I got the opportunity to meet them! They are such a cute and gorgeous family! They had a great time at my mini-session at my mom’s home and despite the crazy wind we ended up with some GREAT photographs:) Here are just a few but trust me Tonia and Randy, the rest are just as GOOD! I even got hugs from the twins! Now how is that for meeting them for the 1st time! Think I might have to photograph now forever, haha! Here is the Mitchell/Barrett family! Brian is my brother in law and will be marrying Megan October 23rd. (Yes, I am photographing the wedding)! I am super excited for her to become part of our family! She is an amazing woman, mother, teacher, and friend to all that meet her! The kids were superb when it came to me taking their pictures and of course the girls just looked GORGEOUS! I love all those curls:)

What a very small world do we live in? I had the privilege to photograph the Moores Family. When I arrived at The Church on Strayer (they attend this church) and meet the family, Sonia’s husband says I know you…what? you do? from where? elementary school? huh? really? no way? I had NO recollection of who he was…OK so then it started to come to me a little bit. He knew my sister more than me. So of course, I had to call my sister right away after the shoot, and YUP she knew exactly who he was. Well, we had a great shoot and Elijah was my cutest kid contest winner. He did exceptionally well. I love kids, especially ones that cooperate with me! I look forward to photographing this family again soon for Christmas! I can’t wait:)

I have known Kimmie and her family since High School! When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was truly honored. I also was her sister Kate’s nurse when she delivered her babies! Small world huh? Kimmie and Leroy got married at The Pioneer Mill in Tiffin Ohio! What a gorgeous venue. Their plans got a little crazy due to the rain, but we all adapted well. Leroy, his dad, and his brother are all fire fighters, so getting married on 9/11 was truly special to this family! There were also a handful of volunteer fire fighters that attended the wedding. Kimmie you looked amazing and I wish you and Leroy nothing but the BEST!
