Today, I thought I would give you all a glimpse of one of my favorite singer/artist/writer. It is the one and only lovely Taylor Swift. I just LOVE all of her LOVE songs she writes. I totally want her to one day write a story about my LOVE story! Really could someone please contact her and tell her that it is worth writing about. She would not be disappointed, and heck… it would make the top charts as #1 in my book, hahaha. I know I am cheesy, but when you marry your high school sweetheart, there is definitely a LOVE STORY worth writing and singing about, hallelujah.
This song has some lovely verses in it! I adore the verse that says “Don’t you worry your pretty little mind. People throw rocks at people that shine. WOW! Now that is POWERFUL! Because in real life sometimes that does happen. I am not sure why? How could someone be so cruel about a couple’s love for each other? I say disregard the comments that they are making and go forward! Move ahead and LOVE like there is no tomorrow. Another verse is “The stakes are high…The water is rough…But this LOVE is OURS!” Now that is just beautiful. For all of those in LOVE it should not matter what the stakes are….go after it. The LOVE is YOURS and trust me…if it is REAL, you will be together for a LONG time! That is sort of true in my case…I married my high school sweetheart, sure there were stakes against us, who marries their high school sweetheart? Not many people, right? Well for sure, the odds were stacked against us, but you know what…We are living our LOVE STORY to the fullest, because my heart is his forever.
Anyways, for those of you in LOVE, recently engaged or newly married….remember that the LOVE is YOURS to keep forever!

So today is the official unveil of my hard work and effort put into my new beautiful website! I am proud to say that I am in love with the website provider SHOWIT. Their community just totally ROCKS this world. If you are in need of a website….PLEASE USE SHOWIT! I just can’t say enough about my LOVE for SHOWIT and the community! I am praying that you all like it. I made a conscious decision a few months back that I am only going to photograph WEDDINGS and SENIORS. I will still be available once or twice a year to photograph families, but I needed a change and I needed to put my business where my HEART was telling me to go. I have prayed many of days and totally feel this is what and where I want to be. So if you know anyone getting engaged or graduating High School, please send them my way! I would LOVE to meet them. I came across this video and thought that I would share it with you all. So, your first dance as a married couple…..do you do the traditonal dance or do you SPICE things up? This is so cool. I wish I would have thought of this for my wedding day! I would LOVE to photograph a Bride & Groom who know how to dance like this! I got the opportunity to photograph my co-workers daughter a couple of weeks ago. Isn’t she just GORGEOUS! She is a senior at Anthony Wayne High School. She will be attending OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY after she graduates! GO BUCKEYES! We photographed Kaylie in downtown Grand Rapids, Ohio. The weather was crazy that day. We almost cancelled her shoot, but I am glad she stuck with it and the photos tell you why! I wish you much continued success Kaylie. And if Kaylie gets 10 of her friends to get their SENIOR pictures taken by me, she will get a FREE iPAD! So start spreading the word! She would LOVE to have it.

Today is the love of my life’s birthday! I have know this guy for an amazing 21 years. Man how time has flown by. I don’t really remember what the first birthday gift was that I got him, but I am sure it definitely included a long handwritten note to go with it. We used to write notes to each other multiple times throughout the day. This guy, I am proud to call my husband is amazing. I am so glad that I found him. He is such an amazing person and I am glad that GOD lead our paths together. You are so strong that you push me to be better every day. You are what keeps me going down the right path of life. You are my rock. I don’t know how my world would be without you. I do know that I still LOVE you just as I did that first day we met. I want to continue to spend the rest of my life with you. So today, we CELEBRATE BRINT!

It is Wedding Wednesday and I want to talk about your details for the day. I have this awful addiction to Pinterest and I sometimes make these boards or what you may call a DREAM board from the images on the site. I am swooning over all of these details below. Well, really what I am saying is that I would LOVE to have someone create this idea so I can shoot it! My wedding day as some of you may already know was black, red, and white. Now, YES I loved every minute and detail of my wedding day, but that was 13 years ago. I would so recreate something totally new and fresh if I were able to remarrying my husband again! Anyone up for a stylized shoot with us as the make believe Bride and Groom? Well I just wanted to share this craziness that I have in my head! And if you need an amazing wedding coordinator, I can recommend a few for you. I am always coming up with these amazing ideas from the images from my newest addiction Pinterest. Are you on Pinterest? If not, I will send ya an invite so you can FOLLOW ME! So if there is a Bride out there that has this as their wedding theme to be….I would LOVE to shoot your wedding, just sayin’! Last week I got the opportunity to photograph the wonderful staff of Dr. Maria McMullin in Monroe, Michigan. Aren’t they a BEAUTIFUL bunch of gals? Dr. Maria McMullin and the entire team go to great lengths to make sure you not only receive the best dental care possible, but that every one of your visits is enjoyable. I just want to share something with you all this Monday. A friend of mine shared this with me when I was just starting out. It is this great magazine called Rangefinder. It has lots of helpful information that is totally FREE! And who doesn’t love FREE? All you have to do is go to the site and register and you will be receiving Rangefinder in your mailbox.
I just want to share with you all the new family photos that were taken back in May and I can now share them with you all! They were taken for a company called Westcott for their new Modern Vintage backgrounds. I named the whole collection last year and Amber contacted our family to see if we would be interested in getting our pics taken with the new backgrounds for the box. We were so happy and delighted to help out. I have been dying to release these to the public and today I finally can. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. The photos were taken by photographer Erik Valind. I also got a huge 24×36 canvas print to put above my fireplace and let me tell you it is HUGE! Anyways, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
