“The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.”

Yesterday I had the chance to photograph this lovely family. Colleen works at St. V’s with me and is currently attending nursing school. She wanted to capture her family and aren’t they just adorable? Brady is super cute. He did whatever I asked him to do and that is quite good considering he is only 2! Little Miss Avery was a doll baby. And to find out…Colleen’s brother and I used to go to elementary school together and I even “went out with him”(shhh…)! And to top it off, her parents still live in the same house they did back then. I can’t believe that it is such a small world. Remember you never know whom you may encounter from your past! Thanks Colleen for letting me photograph your family. I look forward to seeing your children grow over the years!

Business Talk | my life

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Love makes a lot of things possible. Still, getting married is probably one of the most important decisions a woman can ever make in her life.

This past weekend I got to go on a getaway with the LOVE of my life, my husband! We got to get away without kids. We went to Soaring Eagle Casino. Hey I know it isn’t much, but my husband LOVES to gamble and I just go to get away and play the slots a bit! It is just a getaway that is very relaxing to say the least. I was social network free and it felt good. Don’t get me wrong….I missed it, but realized I can live without it. I had the opportunity to think over many business decisions that I have made in the past year or so. I want to thank all of my wonderful clients for giving me the opportunity to photograph their special day and special loved ones! It means alot to me that YOU gave me a chance. A chance I might not have gotten. I want so much for my business adventure to grow and grow fast, but in reality I know that it takes time. I LOVE photographing all aspects of life. I want to photograph the complete circle…Engagement, Wedding, Maternity, Newborn, Child, Senior, Family, and back to Weddings:) I know eventually I might decide that one might be a bigger priority, but for now I am realizing that I LOVE shooting people! I LOVE LOVE! I recently got the chance to listen to three well known wedding photographers speak and man I want a business like theirs! They are very successful in what they do and their work is so incredibly amazing. They took chances and it took time and commitment to make it happen! So I am asking YOU if you would like to be photographed, whether it is your family, newborn, maternity, child, senior, or even a wedding that YOU choose Nancy Mitchell Photography! I am trying to grow my business and would LOVE some more bookings! Remember I do have a referral program this year and it is $100 print credit for each referral you send to me! I would LOVE to shoot some more weddings this year too. This year has been great so far, but I want to ROCK it out the rest of the year! Please HELP ME in doing so by sending me some clients or becoming a client yourself! I really appreciate each one of YOU and I look forward to working with you! Here are some 2011 Open Wedding Dates if they don’t get filled, I will be opening them up for portrait sessions! If you are interested in any of these dates or know someone who would be interested email me (nancymitchellphotography@yahoo.com) or call me!

Lauren called me after she saw my brother-in-law and sister-in-laws family pictures on my blog. She works with my new sister-in-law and is a kindergarten teacher! She is just so cute. I had a great time photographing their family. Her husband’s family owns the Toledo Fence and Supply Co, so if you are need of a fence, check them out and support a local business. Their son is such a cutie pie. I can’t wait to photograph their family again in the future! I love Henry’s chubby cheeks. And YES, Owen the pic by the tree I must say is pretty darn good, thanks for recommending it:)

Megan is a great woman! She is kind hearted, very creative, fun loving, and I just admire her to pieces. She has a wonderful family and I am proud to welcome two more nieces and another nephew to our family. Brian, I must say she definitely is a keeper! Thanks for having me be a special part of your day. I may be bias but I have a GORGEOUS family:)

My family! Aren’t they adorable?

This is what Brian was doing before the wedding….playing with the photo booth props! Just having some fun:)

Brint , my husband and Brian’s twin brother helps put on his boutonniere.

She is so beautiful and radiant! I can feel her joy in her smile.

LOVE it!

Megan and her 1st grade students

Megan with her mom, dad, and brother.

Funny how things work out….Tricia and I went to High School together and haven’t seen each other in years until one day she appeared at Megan’s 31 purse/handbag party. What a small world! I am grateful to have been able to reunite with Tricia. Here is her lovely family, but we are missing her son. I am sure he was dancing, or maybe chasing after some girls:)

Isn’t Amelia super cute?

Hunter and Dominick in some of the photo booth props! The kids had a blast.

And of course last, Me with the BRIDE and my new sister-in-law! I am super blessed to have her in our family. You truly are not just my sister-in-law, but a FRIEND as well.

I had the pleasure to photograph this gorgeous family for the second year in a row! How exciting is that? I LOVE repeat customers! I love to see how the family has grown. And a year goes by so fast! Shawna is also starting out her own photography business called Keener pics. She did a great job coordinating the outfits for her family. I might be just a little bit partial because PURPLE is my favorite color:) If you are interested in having your family photographed I have very limited dates and times available, so call or email me asap to reserve your spot! I look forward to photographing this family again next year! Thanks Keener family for choosing Nancy Mitchell Photography!

I got the chance to photograph this lovely family the other day! Tonia entered her girls Sophia and Alyssa in my Cutest Kids Contest, so that is how I got the opportunity to meet them! They are such a cute and gorgeous family! They had a great time at my mini-session at my mom’s home and despite the crazy wind we ended up with some GREAT photographs:) Here are just a few but trust me Tonia and Randy, the rest are just as GOOD! I even got hugs from the twins! Now how is that for meeting them for the 1st time! Think I might have to photograph now forever, haha! The Moores Family | family

Monday, September 13th, 2010

What a very small world do we live in? I had the privilege to photograph the Moores Family. When I arrived at The Church on Strayer (they attend this church) and meet the family, Sonia’s husband says I know you…what? you do? from where? elementary school? huh? really? no way? I had NO recollection of who he was…OK so then it started to come to me a little bit. He knew my sister more than me. So of course, I had to call my sister right away after the shoot, and YUP she knew exactly who he was. Well, we had a great shoot and Elijah was my cutest kid contest winner. He did exceptionally well. I love kids, especially ones that cooperate with me! I look forward to photographing this family again soon for Christmas! I can’t wait:)
