“There is power in prayer. When men work, they work. but when men pray, God works.”~Angus Buchan, Faith Like Potatoes: The Story of a Farmer Who Risked Everything for God
Today is Fun Friday..
And I had a hard time finding something that I wanted to share and then it dawned on me, share this amazing story of a Farmer who risked everything for GOD!
I have watched this video a couple of times now and all I can say is WOW! It is a great movie…I believe that YOU should watch it and you will be enlightened. It is based on a TRUE STORY and you know I am a sucker for TRUE stories. So go ahead and watch it and then come back and tell me what you think of the movie! I know you won’t be disappointed! P.S. Bring your tissues
I barely watch TV, so when I saw this trailer yesterday on facebook…I was so obsessed! I am going to have to make a date with my husband and watch this! He may kick and scream because he isn’t a fan of chick flicks at all, but this is something much more than that!
I couldn’t even imagine if this tragic event happened in my life. I mean how difficult would it be to LOVE someone that you totally do not remember at all? And how could my husband be so strong to stick by and be so determined to make me LOVE him all over again?
I mean it could represent someone going through a difficult time in their marriage and needing a second chance to love their spouse again, right?
All I am saying is that after I watch the movie…I will give you my opinion, but for now…
Don’t take each day for granted, for who knows what tomorrow will bring!
“I don’t often know exactly what’s coming next, and that makes it more fun. And you know, for me, this entire genre is all about that; it’s all about having fun and getting away from the mundane world for just a little while.” ~R.A. Salvatore
This video of course is from one of my favorite stores to shop at, but I love that the video isn’t really about the clothing, but about the experience when you wear them! I can’t wait for summer to get here so I can hang out with some of my dear friends by my pool! Trust me….this is going to happen at my house with some near and dear friends
P.S. If anyone has a convertible….I would LOVE to ride in a car like this too! Dirt Road, Friends, Wind in my hair, Music and Laughter…PLEASE!
“I don’t think you ever stop giving. I really don’t. I think it’s an on-going process. And it’s not just about being able to write a check. It’s being able to touch somebody’s life.”~Oprah Winfrey
As some of you all may know I am a member of this wonderful inspirational photography group called Pursuit 31. And I couldn’t be even more excited to tell you that I am going to their conference this October. Now this conference is going to be exceptional, but it does cost quite a bit to go. There are a lot of women that would love to go and can’t financially attend. And it is a bit of a burden for me too, but I am praying that GOD will provide for me this year! I know that I am supposed to be there this year! Well go here, and read all about the conference, but then go to the SCHOLARSHIP tab and I challenge you to fill it out for someone amazing (you can nominate me if you would like too) and I am also asking if you could also donate so that someone could be able to attend that otherwise wouldn’t be able too. Also if you donate…let them know that I sent ya in the comments on the donation form. Even just $1 helps out. So if it is on your heart to give, please do, because you truly will be making a difference in someones life for sure.
This morning I woke up to a few more comments on my blog….YAY! So happy that someone wants some STARBUCKS:) and of course for all the amazing BIRTHDAY wishes that I received yesterday! I was blown away by all the wonderful people in my life. Well, I decided that I would cut pieces of paper and then draw a name/winner. My kids saw me doing this and my oldest son Kyle picked the winner of the $10 STARBUCKS gift card. So go and enjoy a drink on me….. Emilia Jane. So Emilia just email me your address and it will be on its way to you! (nancy@nancymitchellphotography.com)
Today is Friday Fun, so I thought that I would share a video that has been going around on facebook to enlighten you about the shocking inside truth about the fashion & beauty industry.
The commercial isn’t real, nor are the standards of society! So go ahead and watch it and tell me what you think. I hope you all have a great FRIDAY the 13th
“Knowing you has added another square to the quilt of my life. The fabric is stamped with your unique touch. The pieces are woven with the memories of our time together. The stitching is firm, binding our friendship for eternity.”
I got an email from a photographer friend the other day saying that she was stopping through Toledo, Ohio and would love to meet up with me. OMG…I was giddy, just like a school kid filled with excitement. Really? She wants to get together and meet me! I would be so honored to meet her! See this facebook/internet thing has done a wonderful thing. It is like having a real life pen pal at your fingertips and more. It is much more wonderful though. Yes I love getting mail, but getting emails or being able to see what is happening in their life is so much more fufilling than a simple note. Don’t get me wrong. A note still today, does mean a thousand more words probably than a simple email, but the email is instant! BANG…it is there, they get the message and waaaalaaa….. things happen!
So anyways, I got the opportunity last night to meet the wonderful Amy Rae Campbell from Amy Rae Photography! She is such a sweet girl. We chatted mostly about photography, life, GOD, and ya know… meeting up again and possibly attending a Justin and Mary workshop together this year and maybe roadtripping it! Now that is what you call awesomeness! So I feel that some things in my life are finally coming together in the photography world and meeting other amazing photographers just makes my life just that much more complete. Thank you Amy Rae for taking the time to meet me. It means the world to me! And the next time you are driving through good ole’ Toledo….my house is open for you to stay! I mean it really! Dog and all! Have a safe trip to your new home in Jersey and Have a very blessed New Year! I look forward to seeing you again. xoxo~Nance
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis
Let me first get you up to date. My in-laws have started a tradition back in 2004 where instead of Christmas gifts we get the gift of being together. Our first get together was at Disney World. Then from there we have been to Frankenmuth, Splash, Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge and now Fort Rapids. The kids all have a grand time and the adults get to enjoy watching and celebrating too. So here is a little video that I put together of our trip. Now, remember I am not a videographer so bare with me…. The funniest thing would have to be the man in the bar! I will let you see it for yourself:) Leave me some love and tell me what is your favorite holiday tradition.

Just thought I would share something cute and funny that totally reminds me of my dear CPA husband. You do know that TAX season is just right around the corner and this little video couldn’t be more true! Enjoy it and have a great weekend. I know that my weekend is going to be SPECTACULAR! Filled with laughter and giggles.
On Wednesday evening, my husband and I watched a new movie that just came out on DVD! Yup, you might have guessed it… THE HANGOVER PART II! This movie was freakin’ hilarious! My stomach muscles were hurting by the time we finished watching it!
My husbands favorite part is when they come to shore on a boat and mind you they are on land and Allen throws out an anchor! Now that kept us laughing for awhile. I might have to say that my favorite part is when the monkey jumps out of no where.
Here is a sneak peek of the trailor for some FRIDAY FUN and LAUGHS! You know that laughter is the BEST kind of medicine. And what the heck, it was a great in home date night with my husband!
Today, I thought I would give you all a glimpse of one of my favorite singer/artist/writer. It is the one and only lovely Taylor Swift. I just LOVE all of her LOVE songs she writes. I totally want her to one day write a story about my LOVE story! Really could someone please contact her and tell her that it is worth writing about. She would not be disappointed, and heck… it would make the top charts as #1 in my book, hahaha. I know I am cheesy, but when you marry your high school sweetheart, there is definitely a LOVE STORY worth writing and singing about, hallelujah.
This song has some lovely verses in it! I adore the verse that says “Don’t you worry your pretty little mind. People throw rocks at people that shine. WOW! Now that is POWERFUL! Because in real life sometimes that does happen. I am not sure why? How could someone be so cruel about a couple’s love for each other? I say disregard the comments that they are making and go forward! Move ahead and LOVE like there is no tomorrow. Another verse is “The stakes are high…The water is rough…But this LOVE is OURS!” Now that is just beautiful. For all of those in LOVE it should not matter what the stakes are….go after it. The LOVE is YOURS and trust me…if it is REAL, you will be together for a LONG time! That is sort of true in my case…I married my high school sweetheart, sure there were stakes against us, who marries their high school sweetheart? Not many people, right? Well for sure, the odds were stacked against us, but you know what…We are living our LOVE STORY to the fullest, because my heart is his forever.
Anyways, for those of you in LOVE, recently engaged or newly married….remember that the LOVE is YOURS to keep forever!
And P.S. if any of you want to buy me tickets to one of her shows, I would be ecstatic! And HEY could you throw in a chance to meet her in person? Just sayin….
Here you will find my most recent and favorite photos from my current shoots. I will also update ya with some personal stuff too! Keep coming back to view my work and my personal life. GOD BLESS and ENJOY!
