It is all the fault of Gray Photography:) They sent me a giftcard for starbucks for being so kind to get them some CEDAR POINT tickets at a discounted rate for them this past summer. I can now say that I AM ADDICTED! I am going to pay it forward, so I am having a contest and giving away a gift card to one of my new favorite vendors!

The Moores Family | family

What a very small world do we live in? I had the privilege to photograph the Moores Family. When I arrived at The Church on Strayer (they attend this church) and meet the family, Sonia’s husband says I know you…what? you do? from where? elementary school? huh? really? no way? I had NO recollection of who he was…OK so then it started to come to me a little bit. He knew my sister more than me. So of course, I had to call my sister right away after the shoot, and YUP she knew exactly who he was. Well, we had a great shoot and Elijah was my cutest kid contest winner. He did exceptionally well. I love kids, especially ones that cooperate with me! I look forward to photographing this family again soon for Christmas! I can’t wait:)

Cutest Kid Contest | promotions

Summer is here and to kick things off, I wanted to have a little fun! I am hosting my first ever Cutest Kids Contest! You will be able to enter a photo of your adorable child to win a free photo session and portrait package with Nancy Mitchell Photography!

The Premise: Cutest Kid Photo Contest

1. Have a little photo session! You must be a parent or legal guardian of your child. (or you can submit a recent picture (6 months or greater), if you prefer!)

2. Send your ONE favorite picture to me via e-mail (nancymitchellphotography@yahoo.com). Be sure to add your child’s name and age. I will then post them to a special contest album on my Facebook fan page.

3. Join my Facebook fan page.

4. Send people (your friends, family, co-workers, etc.) to join my Facebook fan page and VOTE for their favorite picture (i.e. YOURS!)

5. The winner will be announced on August 23rd based on the total number of likes for each entered image. Votes are counted as likes on each individual image/entry. A person must be a fan of my Facebook fan page to like a photo.

The Rules

1. Entries must be submitted by August 15th. I will post all entries on August 16th, and the voting will begin immediately!!

2. ONE entry per person.

3. ONE vote per person!

4. Voting will continue from August 16th through August 22nd! Winner will be announced on August 23rd!

5. Submitted images must be of a child 10 years old or younger.

6. For obvious reasons, photos taken by professional photographers will not be accepted.

The winner will receive a complimentary photo shoot and a CD with the best shots in full-resolution with a print release! That is a [$350] value!!! The session must take place in local areas to Sylvania, OH and be redeemed by October 31st. A signed model release will also be required prior to the session. Your photo session must be booked within 10 days of winning, and completed before October 31, 2010.

Every entry will receive a $10 credit towards their next session with Nancy Mitchell Photography. limit one per household/family. must be used by October 31, 2010.

Runner up winner will receive a disc with 3 images from your session with Nancy Mitchell Photography, must be used by October 31, 2010. Session fee not included!

Prizes are not transferable to other persons.

A GORGEOUS Whitmer High School 2011 SENIOR | Seniors

I got the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous senior yesterday. I used to work with her aunt Laura. Laura’s house was recently destroyed in the TORNADO that went through here this past June. Thanks Laura for referring Angel to me and I wish you the best with your new home. We photographed this lovely gal at her church (The Church on Strayer)! Angel will be a SENIOR REP for me this year. I look forward to photographing more pics of her throughout the year and if you know a SENIOR, send them my way! I would love to photograph them. Also I am looking for more SENIOR REPS so if you are interested, please inquire.

i Heart Faces contest Sweet Dreams ♥ | promotions

I am entering once again the i ♥ faces contest. This weeks theme is Sweet Dreams! I took this newborn pic of my friend’s son, Blake! Isn’t he adorable. The guest judges this week are Justin & Mary Marantz. I had the opportunity to listen to them speak in New Orleans at PartnerCon. They were amazing! Mary’s story is a tear jerker, you can read about it on the i heart faces blog!

Giving is AWESOME | promotions

You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $250 worth, to be exact. Whether it’s canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
