So today is the official unveil of my hard work and effort put into my new beautiful website! I am proud to say that I am in love with the website provider SHOWIT. Their community just totally ROCKS this world. If you are in need of a website….PLEASE USE SHOWIT! I just can’t say enough about my LOVE for SHOWIT and the community! I am praying that you all like it. I made a conscious decision a few months back that I am only going to photograph WEDDINGS and SENIORS. I will still be available once or twice a year to photograph families, but I needed a change and I needed to put my business where my HEART was telling me to go. I have prayed many of days and totally feel this is what and where I want to be. So if you know anyone getting engaged or graduating High School, please send them my way! I would LOVE to meet them. I am in LOVE with the GORGEOUSNESS of a BRIDE on her wedding day and I am in LOVE with the SENIORS fashion style. They both compliment each other.

I got the opportunity to photograph my co-workers daughter a couple of weeks ago. Isn’t she just GORGEOUS! She is a senior at Anthony Wayne High School. She will be attending OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY after she graduates! GO BUCKEYES! We photographed Kaylie in downtown Grand Rapids, Ohio. The weather was crazy that day. We almost cancelled her shoot, but I am glad she stuck with it and the photos tell you why! I wish you much continued success Kaylie. And if Kaylie gets 10 of her friends to get their SENIOR pictures taken by me, she will get a FREE iPAD! So start spreading the word! She would LOVE to have it.

I had the pleasure of photographing Adam an Oak Harbor 2012 Senior Rep this weekend. The weather was just beautiful! Not too hot, not too cold…..just perfect! Love makes a lot of things possible. Still, getting married is probably one of the most important decisions a woman can ever make in her life.
This past weekend I got to go on a getaway with the LOVE of my life, my husband! We got to get away without kids. We went to Soaring Eagle Casino. Hey I know it isn’t much, but my husband LOVES to gamble and I just go to get away and play the slots a bit! It is just a getaway that is very relaxing to say the least. I was social network free and it felt good. Don’t get me wrong….I missed it, but realized I can live without it. I had the opportunity to think over many business decisions that I have made in the past year or so. I want to thank all of my wonderful clients for giving me the opportunity to photograph their special day and special loved ones! It means alot to me that YOU gave me a chance. A chance I might not have gotten. I want so much for my business adventure to grow and grow fast, but in reality I know that it takes time. I LOVE photographing all aspects of life. I want to photograph the complete circle…Engagement, Wedding, Maternity, Newborn, Child, Senior, Family, and back to Weddings:) I know eventually I might decide that one might be a bigger priority, but for now I am realizing that I LOVE shooting people! I LOVE LOVE! I recently got the chance to listen to three well known wedding photographers speak and man I want a business like theirs! They are very successful in what they do and their work is so incredibly amazing. They took chances and it took time and commitment to make it happen! So I am asking YOU if you would like to be photographed, whether it is your family, newborn, maternity, child, senior, or even a wedding that YOU choose Nancy Mitchell Photography! I am trying to grow my business and would LOVE some more bookings! Remember I do have a referral program this year and it is $100 print credit for each referral you send to me! I would LOVE to shoot some more weddings this year too. This year has been great so far, but I want to ROCK it out the rest of the year! I got the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous senior yesterday. I used to work with her aunt Laura. Laura’s house was recently destroyed in the TORNADO that went through here this past June. Thanks Laura for referring Angel to me and I wish you the best with your new home. We photographed this lovely gal at her church (The Church on Strayer)! Angel will be a SENIOR REP for me this year. I look forward to photographing more pics of her throughout the year and if you know a SENIOR, send them my way! I would love to photograph them. Also I am looking for more SENIOR REPS so if you are interested, please inquire.

The Premise: High School Teen Photo Contest
1. Have a little photo session with friend or parent! (or you can submit a recent picture, if you prefer!)
2. Send your ONE favorite picture to me via e-mail (nancymitchellphotography@yahoo.com). Be sure to add your name and which HIGH SCHOOL you go to. I will then post them to a special contest album on my Facebook fan page.
3. Join my Facebook fan page.
4. Send people (your friends, family, co-workers, etc.) to join my Facebook fan page and VOTE for their favorite picture (i.e. YOURS!)
5. The winner will be announced on August 1st based on the total number of likes for each entered image. Votes are counted as likes on each individual image/entry. A person must be a fan of my Facebook fan page to like a photo.
The Rules
1. Entries must be submitted by July 27th. I will post all entries on July 28th, and the voting will begin immediately!!
2. ONE entry per person.
3. ONE vote per person!
4. Voting will continue from July 28 through August1st! Winner will be announced on August 2nd!
5. Submitted images must be of a teen 14- 18 years of age.
6. For obvious reasons, photos taken by professional photographers will not be accepted.
THE PRIZE!
The winner will receive a complimentary photo shoot and a CD with the best shots in full-resolution with a print release! That is a [$350] value!!! The session must take place in local areas to Sylvania, OH and be redeemed by Sept 2nd. A signed model release will also be required prior to the session. Let the fun begin!
