“Orginality implies being bold enough to go beyond accepted norms.”~Anthony Storr
I know I am a bit behind in my blogging…I was busy running errands yesterday and poof the day just went by in a flash! So today I will just put this out there that you should BE BOLD on your wedding day. If you want to wear some amazing RED, PURPLE, GREEN, HOT PINK shoes then by all means DO IT! Be YOU…BE UNIQUE. Back when I was getting married…wearing white was the only option, well I guess I could have worn another color, but that just was TABOO! But THANKS to whomever made the statement and was BOLD enough for change! Happy Wedding Planning!
“God is placing great opportunities in your life…pause and appreciate them. As you choose to enjoy the journey, your life will be much more rewarding and fulfilling.”~Joel Osteen
I have been missing for two days now…. Monday I just couldn’t decide what to blog about and Tuesday…well I was at the hospital working. So needless to say, I am back! Today I came across a video that has been posted on facebook. I want you single or married couples to view it! It is truly inspirational. And let me tell you Jeff Bethke is phenomenal! This young man has nailed it!
How is your marriage? Is your marriage better or bitter?
Elevate your spouse to GOD!
Men, lead her with GRACE!
Become friends with each other first. Make conversation and laughter.
It is the PROMISE that sustains your LOVE!
You see marriage is a difficult at times. TRUST ME! I have had my struggles with my husband, but in the end… it is our LOVE for Jesus that keeps us together!
I hope that this poem helps you repair your marriage or prepare you for the new life that is about to begin as a married couple!
It’s your Wedding Day So perfect and fine, With all your friends round you To have a good time. And we wish you much happiness Starting your lives as one, Always give love to each other With lots of laughter and fun
So you are engaged, now what? You are now busy planning your wedding day. The “DO this” or the “DO that” for your special “I DO” day. You are overwhelmed with all the information you have gotten from all of those Bridal magazines or websites. You are not alone. There are millions out there just like YOU! Planning your special day does not have to be overwhelming if you follow a simple timeline….
Everything will fall into place.
Some questions to ask yourself: Home much time do I have (how long is the engagement)?, How elaborate do you want the wedding to be?, Who is helping pay for the wedding?
To save some time for your special day:
Make sure you meet with no more than 3 vendors in each category (catering, music, photography, stationery, etc.). Make sure you do your research before meeting them. Or simply go with word of mouth. Meeting with more than 3 vendors can cause you and your fiancee undo stress.
If you want the stress to be less than hire a wedding planner. They will make sure all is taken care of for your special day and you will be stress free. They have great recommendations for vendors and are up to date with decorating and make lots of inspiration boards for you. They want your day to be about YOU!
So in a nutshell…. decide how long you have, make a budget, and decide how elaborate you want your wedding to be…and you totally should check out Pintrest for lots of wedding inspiration!

Today is Wedding Wednesday….and what better things to talk about than what is in store for 2012 wedding day predictions. These came from the amazing Bridal Tweet newsletter. So if you are in the process of planning a wedding here are some things you may want to know.
1. Colors are all over. Any color palette will do. Lime green and pink, Yellow and Gray, Pink and Silver, etc….you pick it and it will work!
2. Theme weddings are back. Everything from the cake to the invitations.
3. Romantic Elegance. Think about Gold and Silver accents, chandeliers, hats/gloves, romantic candlelight, and soft hair.
4. Dresses are romantic. Victorian style, layers of soft ruffles, short, lace sleeves are just a few.
5. The Night doesn’t end with the reception. Hosting an “after party” at a favorite bar or lounge is the new trend.
6. Outdoor venues. Natural Settings are the in thing too. Think about having your wedding at a vineyard, garden, or a farm.
These are just some of the new trends that are being predicted for 2012. Are any of these on your wedding planning list? Are you in need of a wedding planner to help you organize your wedding day? Email me for a list in the area. Most are also willing to travel too. I would LOVE to give you a referral!

I came across this video and thought that I would share it with you all. So, your first dance as a married couple…..do you do the traditonal dance or do you SPICE things up? This is so cool. I wish I would have thought of this for my wedding day! I would LOVE to photograph a Bride & Groom who know how to dance like this! So if YOU or YOU know someone getting married and are planning something CRAZY and fun….SEND THEM MY WAY! Sorry that my Wedding Wednesday post is short, but I have been busy spending time with my family this week! Enjoy.

It is Wedding Wednesday and I want to talk about your details for the day. I have this awful addiction to Pinterest and I sometimes make these boards or what you may call a DREAM board from the images on the site. I am swooning over all of these details below. Well, really what I am saying is that I would LOVE to have someone create this idea so I can shoot it! My wedding day as some of you may already know was black, red, and white. Now, YES I loved every minute and detail of my wedding day, but that was 13 years ago. I would so recreate something totally new and fresh if I were able to remarrying my husband again! Anyone up for a stylized shoot with us as the make believe Bride and Groom? Well I just wanted to share this craziness that I have in my head! And if you need an amazing wedding coordinator, I can recommend a few for you. I am always coming up with these amazing ideas from the images from my newest addiction Pinterest. Are you on Pinterest? If not, I will send ya an invite so you can FOLLOW ME! So if there is a Bride out there that has this as their wedding theme to be….I would LOVE to shoot your wedding, just sayin’! I would LOVE to be a part of your ADVENTURE!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
P.S. Stay tuned for the unveiling of my new website! Please excuse the dust on this blog too, I am doing some updates to it too!

Sarah & Tom were united in marriage Saturday September 3, 2011. They got married on the lake front lawn of Maumee Bay Resort. It was a HOT, but beautiful day. Also Sarah & Tom if you get 50 people to comment on this blog post, you will get a FREE 16×20 print! So start spreading the word. Thanks for having me be a special part of your day! I wish you two nothing but the BEST.

Today I want to reflect on how important it is to have a wedding coordinator on your wedding day. This past weekend I got the opportunity to work with one of our area Wedding Coordinators April fromYour Perfect Day. I must say that the whole day was a delight. From the decorations, to the Bride and Groom getting ready, to the Ceremony, and the Reception. She was amazing. April did a PERFECT job and made the day go easier for Sarah & Tom. She is not only a wedding coordinator, but at the end of the day she is Sarah & Tom’s new friend! I want to THANK April for doing such a great job.
A wedding coordinator should pay attention to the details of the day and have the ability to listen to the client. They should also help you facilitate your ideas, give you guidance, directions and support for planning your day. The wedding coordinator should also make the wedding day a reflection of YOU and make it as easy and stress free as possible.
This is a sweet and perfect video from Colbie Caillat called “I DO”. It would be perfect for your wedding day first dance, your video, or it could be played anywhere that you see fit on your wedding day!
So please please try to make it essential that you use a wedding day coordinator for your WEDDING DAY! You won’t regret it.
Here is a sneak peek of the decorations that April created for Sarah & Tom’s wedding day and of course a picture of me with April to end the night.

As I was getting my hair highlighted and cut on Monday from the amazing Crissy from Brodava Salon in Perrysburg, Oh. I was inspired while looking through some magazines. So today is Wedding Wednesday and I thought that it would be a great idea to tell you all how to look pretty in pictures!
1. Smile Style- You should make sure on your wedding day that you are thinking happy thoughts. You should smile naturally and alternate that smile with and without teeth. You want your pictures to look differently and not all the same.
2. Body Language- You should make sure that you are standing up straight and not slouching. Make sure you look relaxed though. I know it can be very difficult, trust me! That is why I am here to help you be as natural as I can. Make sure that you keep your bouquet close to your belly button rather than your chest!
3. Practice makes perfect- You should practice your smile before your BIG day! Practice in front of the mirror or take some pictures with your digital camera and refine it. Also another reason to get your engagement pictures taken by me before your BIG day. It gives you and your husband to be a chance to experience what will happen on your wedding day as well as a practice run!
4. Listen Up- Make sure you listen to my directions and have your wedding party also listen to my directions. One we will get some ROCKIN’ shots and hopefully they will be fast and sweet so you all can go and enjoy your PARTY! Make sure you look at each other and make some small talk while your photos are being taken so you can look more natural too. Also if the groom has an amazing joke to tell the bride and make her laugh….it will be an all natural smile that will look great captured.
P.S. Make sure that your unique personality is reflected in your hair, gown, and accessories! And remember to have FUN!
Here you will find my most recent and favorite photos from my current shoots. I will also update ya with some personal stuff too! Keep coming back to view my work and my personal life. GOD BLESS and ENJOY!
